Preludes
To deepen understanding of the three prelude forms and to cultivate a full practice format of warm ups - prelude - asana - conclusion. For experienced students maintaining a regular practice, this activity prepares for more complex seats and yoga-asana and for asana - angahara, inversions and Nṛtta Sādhanā. Asana - Angahara 1
(Asana Arrangements) In the morning linear arrangements are worked when the energy is dominant in the nerves. The aim is to move the prana (life force) into the blood through the exercise of the bones and joints. Nṛtta Sādhanā Introduction In the afternoon swaying arrangements are worked when the energy is dominant in the blood. The aim is to move the energy into the nerves. Prerequisite: Ongoing personal practice and 2+ years of preludes including Karttikeya Mandala. |
